These Power Amplifiers are special power amplifier modules normally used in the REP-200 Repeater. The "R" series is designed primarily for use in repeaters and commercial transmitters to boost the 2W output of the exciter to a higher level. In effect, these modules are used with an exciter to make a complete transmitter. These amplifiers have enhanced harmonic filtering and B+ decoupling to avoid desense. They are biased for class-C operation for high efficiency; so they may be used on FM or CW modes. The high-band and uhf versions are FCC type accepted under parts 22, 74, and 90. The PA normally is sold less heatsink; since it normally is mounted to the enclosure, which acts as a heatsink. PA's are designed for continuous duty with 2 Watts input and operate on 13.6Vdc @ 3-5Amp. Power output varies with model and frequency range, as indicated in the price list at the right. |
